BRAND NEW FROM THE BLACK SPOT! Teeny tiny book necklaces! These books are made in the same way as my other books. I use the best leftovers from the years past, as they find there way to the bottom of my leather drawer. (nothing is discarded! I even have a mason jar of scraps near dust for collage!) I am listing these on Etsy!You will find all available necklaces there.If you have special requests, email me! I will be in Israel 28 February to 15 March (looking for leather!) so please be patient. The Black Spot Glass Lockets are made of sterling silver and antique green glass lockets with a sterling silver chain and clasp. All of the metal is treated to look aged, a process with will continue naturally with time! Inside of the double-sided locket are images extracted from antique books, some are in the form of collage. THE END. Antique book images in acrylic. I have stopped making the acrylic jewels (for now? forever?) I am listing the last few pieces that I have. Don't miss em, they are still quite likeable!!! The Black Spot acrylic jewellery is made from antique book images, surgically removed and sandwiched between two pieces of acrylic then hand cut, sanded and polished shiny! The necklaces are finished with copper jump rings and chain, and the earrings with copper jump rings and niobium (hypo-allergenic) ear wires. All of the pieces come on cards, and, when possible with the caption of the image and date on the back. I never copy images, each piece contains an authentic antique cut-out and is therefore unique!

These are usable and wearable miniature books! They have been finished with a copper jump ring and chain and covered with a variety of antique leather scraps!

My books are made using archival insides and antique outsides. Inside you'll find lineless strathmore drawing paper - thick, hand-torn, acid-free pages that work perfectly with ink, pens both thick and superfine, pencil, charcoal, and myriad other mediums. the pages are each hand sewn with archival linen binder's thread. The books' covers are made using hand-picked scraps and worn leather from wherever I can find them, cut to fit the appropriate size. The books can be carried daily and beat up. They are quite strong creatures.
